Edge Delta Introduces the Prod Immune System and Launches the AI SRE Arena Benchmark

The telemetry-native AI SRE detected 18 of 21 production incidents on its own in the open benchmark’s first results; the competing product detected 12.

SEATTLE, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Edge Delta today introduced the prod immune system, a telemetry-native AI SRE that continuously understands, investigates, and operates production by working directly on a company’s telemetry. The company also launched AI SRE Arena, an open benchmark that measures how well AI SREs catch and diagnose production incidents, and published its first results.

Edge Delta introduced the prod immune system, a telemetry-native AI SRE. In the first results of AI SRE Arena, an open benchmark, it detected 18 of 21 production incidents on its own; the competing product only detected 12.

Edge Delta detected 18 of the 21 incidents on its own, while the competing product tested alongside it detected 12.

Edge Delta’s AI Teammates run on the telemetry pipeline itself, where logs, metrics, traces, and events already flow, rather than pulling data from other monitoring tools after an alert fires. They spot abnormal behavior early, investigate with the full context, and propose fixes that go through approval gates the team controls.

The launch marks a shift for Edge Delta, which built its business on telemetry pipelines and made them free at any scale earlier this year. The company now presents its platform as the prod immune system. Like any immune system, it notices trouble before anyone is paged, responds within limits the team sets, and remembers every incident it handles.

AI SRE Arena gives teams a way to compare AI SREs on the same incidents instead of on vendor demos. The first version injects 21 faults into a Kubernetes deployment of the OpenTelemetry demo application. The judge is an AI model that reads each product’s final report, grades its root cause and proposed fix against a fixed answer key, with the same rubric for every product.

In the AI SRE Arena, Edge Delta detected 18 of the 21 incidents autonomously, while the competing product only detected 12. None of Edge Delta’s final recommendations were judged as incorrect or unsafe.

Edge Delta will provide more information through product comparisons in the coming weeks. The scenarios, answer keys, and scoring code are open source, so any team can run the benchmark on their own.

“For years, our customers used Edge Delta to collect and route their telemetry,” said Ozan Unlu, co-founder and CEO of Edge Delta. “Now the agents working on that data do much of the investigating. We call that the prod immune system, and we published AI SRE Arena with its answer keys so buyers can test it themselves.”

“Most agents only see production through someone else’s dashboards,” said Fatih Yildiz, co-founder and CTO of Edge Delta. “Ours read the telemetry as it streams through our pipelines, so they can notice a problem before anyone asks them to look. We built the benchmark to measure that, along with how well the investigation holds up.”

Recent additions to Edge Delta’s AI SRE include Loops, which give the agents standing goals between incidents such as verifying that every deployment is healthy, and Guardrails, which lets teams set how much the agents may do on their own.

Edge Delta is available now, with a free 14-day trial and paid plans starting at $20 per month. The AI SRE Arena results and code are available at edgedelta.com/arena.

About Edge Delta

Edge Delta is the prod immune system: a telemetry-native AI SRE that continuously understands, investigates, and operates production. Most AI SREs begin work after an alert fires and query observability tools from the outside. Edge Delta’s AI Teammates reason directly over the telemetry layer, on the live logs, metrics, traces, and events flowing through its telemetry pipelines, so they hold production context before an incident starts. The teammates run one loop on every incident: detect abnormal behavior, investigate across telemetry and change history, reason to a root cause backed by evidence, act through approval-gated workflows, verify the fix against before-and-after telemetry, and learn by adding the incident to persistent production memory. The same production context serves SRE, security, and software engineering teammates, which is the path toward autonomous production. Edge Delta is headquartered in Seattle, WA.
